This iconic 10 Francs Hercule silver series was struck from 1965 to 1973, including the years 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973, under the French Fifth Republic. The famous design was originally created by Augustin Dupré, rooted in French republican symbolism. The reverse depicts Hercules standing between Liberty and Equality, encircled by France’s national motto Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité (Liberty, Equality, Fraternity). This is one of the final large circulating silver coins issued by France, highly popular among European silver coin collectors. Each coin retains its natural original patina and circulation marks, with no cleaning or restoration.
